We are always in the process of planning introduction to visual literacy workshops. These are usually 2 day workshops with an introduction to both collage and video work.

If you are a girl or know a girl who is interested in taking a workshop please let us know. This is a great way to expand your knowledge and awareness as well as to explore if TVbyGIRLS is for you.

Workshops

Internet Workshops

TVbyGIRLS works with our partner TIES to utilize the innovative video conferencing capabilities of Internet 2 and work with groups of students across the country. With up to 3 different sites, students in their own schools can participate in workshops with the TVbyGIRLS staff. The workshops are tailored to meet the needs of each site and include the exciting hands on work with Visual Literacy, Moving Image story telling and Creating a video. Classes run about an hour and can fit into the normal school day or be scheduled as an after school activity. Special materials for each class are shipped to the school prior to the workshops. Lesson plans and curriculum are provided to teachers before each session.
